Anyone can ask their mortgage lender for the payment holiday as a result of hardship in the current economic climate and they should all agree. There is no specific evidence required as it is a holiday (forebearance) and not three months free and we are told as it is agreed, there will be no credit report or credit score impacts but that will be system dependent for many. Lenders may just add three extra payments to end of loan, but there are currently discussions happening around how this will work due to capital requirements.
There is nothing specific for landlords yet but there is an assumptions landlords (BTL Loans) may be afforded similar “privileges” in due course.
