James Webster – Director of Fortress Mortgages

Financial services has been part of my life for the last 20 years. I started in financial services working for global banks such as JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse. This line of work took me to different places where I have lived and worked in Bournemouth, London and Frankfurt, Germany.

Although this career path was mainly looking after global pension funds it gave me good experience in compliance and how the banking system operates. I was unfortunate to get made redundant in 2016, but this is when I embarked on a new direction in financial services and qualified with CEMAP 3 level.

This new qualification opened a whole new world in mortgage and protection advice and after a period of training with Fortress Mortgages I was lucky enough to take over the company when the previous founder decided to retire.

I love this new role as it is extremely rewarding to help all clients obtain the mortgage they need in order to purchase their property or re-mortgage to improve on their current property. There is nothing better then being thanked for helping a client achieve their property goals and therefore makes this role extremely rewarding. I hope to continue helping all my clients and staying up to date with market conditions to enable the best possible advice to be given.

Fortress Mortgage Services is here to help and we are proud that we don’t charge a fee for the service we offer. By not charging a fee then we don’t add to the many expenses associated with obtaining a mortgage.

I am married to Lucy and dad to Jess and Hannah, I am a very keen golfer and love watching all sports.

Steve Bruns – Mortgage and Protection advisor

Having returned to the UK in 2005 from Austria I took the position of outsourced Client Services Manager with Swiss Post Solutions UK Ltd. I am an experienced Client Services Manager with a history in the Digital Mail & Scanning market place. Skilled in the day to day running of the business, P&L management, budgeting and forecasting, negotiation, H&S, audit compliance, project management, sales operations and customer service.

In 2018 I was lucky enough to be asked to join Fortress Mortgages and so, my journey began in earnest starting September of 2018 studying towards the CeMap 3 qualification, which I duly gained in February 2019. I then joined James and Fortress Mortgages fully in the April.

In the short time I have been with Fortress Mortgages, I have enjoyed great satisfaction in helping clients either get a new mortgage, or purchase their first home. It is such a rewarding career; one I wish I had started a lot sooner.

My goal is grow in the role of advisor in both mortgage and protection to help clients achieve the reality of home ownership or realising long held ambitions or dreams.

My focus is driven entirely by giving excellent customer service and at Fortress Mortgages I am very proud to say we do not charge a fee for our services, knowing ourselves how expensive house buying/moving can be.

Angiolina Albertini – Mortgage and Protection advisor

I was really happy to be asked to join James and the team at Fortress Mortgages in 2019. I completed my CeMAP qualification and have been working as an advisor for nearly 3 years.

Before I joined Fortress Mortgages I worked for over 25 years within environmental, scientific and regulatory roles across the UK. Good research and attention to detail is an essential skill I have acquired in that time. This is carried across when working with clients. My aim is to do all the hard work, so you don’t have to.
As a keen triathlete I am very driven, motivated and work hard to achieve my dreams. I get great satisfaction in applying these skills to help all my clients achieve their dreams.

Karl Isehak – Mortgage and Protection advisor

Hi, I am Karl Isehak and I am a Mortgage & Protection Specialist here at Fortress Mortgages in Bournemouth.

Having worked in the financial industry for over 15 years I have seen many changes however building a trustworthy relationship with my clients is not one of them.
Ensuring that my clients receive expert advice is paramount to what I do regardless of the outcome.

I thoroughly enjoy the variety of clients that I manage at Fortress as it ranges from first time buyers to more experienced homeowners and Landlords.
My current qualifications include CeMAP & CertCii ensuring that I remain compliant within my role.

In my spare time I am passionate about football and spend evenings coaching at a football academy in my hometown of Bournemouth.
